It’s a true sign of fall when The Big E (or The Eastern States Exposition) comes to West Springfield, MA.
From food and entertainment to crafts and rides, and so much more, there’s something for everyone.
It’s certainly a playground for the creative photographer!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from this year:

This is the sight that welcomes you as you enter the Main Gate, it’s nostalgic to me.
One of my must-have-food traditions - Kettle Corn from the NH building! Can you see a few kernels flying out?!
A goofy game called “Stinky Feet” (that’s a new one!). The sprayer is even shaped like a faucet. And for awhile I thought he was holding a camera, which made no sense, then I realized it’s a bar of soap!! haha

The best part of my photo adventure:
Rides at night + motion + slow shutter speeds!!
This is like the swings, except, as you can see, it takes them extremely high up!
Almost a full circle
Do you think when they named this The Orbiter they knew what it looked like photographed in motion?!
Looks like it’s going out of Orbit!
Ferris Wheels make great optical illusions.
These remind me of Spirograph drawings.
or butterflies. Can you see it?
And finally, the secret to my Facebook profile picture…
I stood where I could see the orbiter and the ferris wheel on either side and zoomed in while at a low shutter speed.

It looks to me like two planets about to collide.
